Love your hair longer
Simple guides to braid, style and care for your Hair by Ora hair, so it stays soft, smooth and beautiful wear after wear.
Braiding & Installation
Leave it to the professionals
Our extensions look and last their best when they're installed by an experienced stylist or braider. A good professional knows how to handle the hair, protect your edges and get that clean, natural finish, so we always recommend booking one.
How much hair do you need?
Running out halfway through is every braider's nightmare, so here's a rough guide:
Short to medium braids usually need 3–4 packs. Long or waist-length braids usually need 4–5 packs. A full sew-in usually needs 3 bundles, or 2 bundles plus an extension or two.
Every style is different, so the best move is to check with your stylist before you order. If you're unsure, send us a photo of the style and we'll help you work out exactly what to buy.
Styling
One hair, endless looks
Whatever texture you choose, there's more than one way to wear it. Here's some inspiration to get you started.
If your hair is human hair, low-heat curling is fine with a heat protectant. If it's synthetic, avoid hot tools, because they can melt the fibre. Use heatless methods instead.
Refreshing Deep Wave curls
When curls start to look tired, there's no need to start over.
- Lightly mist the hair with water or a water-and-leave-in-conditioner mix.
- Finger-detangle gently from the ends upward.
- Scrunch a small amount of curl cream or mousse through the lengths.
- Let it air-dry and avoid touching it while it sets, because that's what causes frizz.
Blending extensions with your natural hair
To get a seamless look, match your texture first and your colour second, since texture is what gives extensions away. Leave out a little of your own hair at the edges and style it the same way as the extensions. A small amount of edge control along the hairline helps everything sit as one.
